Where it all began… in 1956, twelve families worked together to establish a sailing club on Lake Lewisville. In so doing, they established a great legacy for the generations to come.
Our DCYC Youth Sailing Program introduces kids to the water in a safe, supportive environment. From their first time rigging a boat to their first time crossing a finish line, young sailors build real skills — and the resilience to match.
Open to ages 8–18, our program pairs certified instructors with small groups so every sailor gets time at the helm. They learn seamanship, racing tactics, teamwork, water safety, and the kind of grit that lasts well beyond the dock.
